Coconut and Corn Flake Cookies

Description: These cookies are so yummy! Just try not to eat all of the dough before you can bake them!


Ingredients:

2 cups of flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 1/4 cup shortening

1 cup sugar

1 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups of shredded coconut

2 cups of corn flakes


Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. Wisk all of the dry ingredients together in a large bowl

  3. In a separate bowl cream together the shortening and the sugars

  4. Next add the eggs and vanilla to the sugar mixture

  5. Combine the wet and the dry ingredients in the same bowl

  6. Mix in the coconut and cornflakes

  7. Bake the dough on prepared baking sheets with parchment paper about two inches apart for 12-14 minutes or until the sides begin to turn golden brown
